Our 2nd ‘friendly’ with the Crossroads Angels showed dramatic improvement over the first game where everyone was getting used to new positions and shaking off the winter rust. Lots of new players and a couple returning players after taking last season off (Krisztian at Catcher, Adam at 2B). Our first year players showed more confidence at bat and in the field. Confidence is key in baseball; keep looking to improve the little things and good things will happen.

Once again I had to leave for a few innings to work with the Minors team and missed some of the action in the middle innings but the highlights I did see: Viktor with a 2-run double over the Centerfielder’s head in the bottom of the second and Steve Benko knocking in two runs with a line-drive down the 3rd base line  in the final at-bat in a come from behind victory.

Next game is a league game vs Erd Pioneers at the Izbeg Field on April 30 at 13:30. Let’s be ready!
